Answer: The pole is approximately 75mm in diameter. -

I cannot fit hoses as too tight and cannot connect to gas bottle as the fitting on the bottle does fit connector. Where am I going wrong?
Answer: To fit hose to red gas valve - place hose end in hot water first. This will soften hose and make it easier to slide up metal pipe. Remember to put the hose retaining clip on the hose first. Needs to be a Calor gas bottle (green) that you are connecting valve onto. The Red gas valve simply clicks onto the top of the gas bottle. Make sure the gas valve is not at an angle to the gas bottle. It must be level with the top of the bottle (perpendicular). To disconnect the red valve from the bottle simply push-in the black square under the on/off valve on the red unit.
