Question:
Is the glass breakable?
Answer: Yes, it will break in a freeze. -

How deep is this bird bath?
Answer: This bird bath is about 3 1/2 to 4 inches deep. -
Question:
Is the base foldable?
Answer: You can fold the base flat by loosening the wing nuts that tie the legs together. Once flattened re-tighten the wing nuts to ensure it does not come apart. -
Question:
Do the colors fade?
Answer: Not yet, I put it up for a few months and realized it was probably not a good idea to have around with the barn cat! So I gave it to my grandmother and she loves it! The colors have not faded yet. I had it set up in full sun for a few months and she has it is partial shade. -
Question:
Can I buy a replacement light?
Answer: Due to the fixture being part of the bowl we don't have the light separate from the bowl itself. We do apologize for this inconvenience. -
Question:
Should the water cover the solar panel?
Answer: Sometimes I put water over the cells and the light still comes on in the evening. Therefore, (for me) it makes no difference if you cover the cells with water or not. -
Question:
Can I use a solar pump with it?
Answer: Yes, I have a floating solar fountain floating in mine. It works good as long as the water level is maintained and kept clean. Keep cleaning the pump intake of debris since the water volume is so small that it sucks in the debris as it circulates the water. -
Question:
Is this a fountain also?
Answer: No. You have to buy the fountain pump separately. -
Question:
Can this withstand cold temperatures and water freezing in it? Would like to leave it out over the winter.
Answer: We empty ours in the winter and store it in the shed. We have made the mistake of leaving ours out in the winter and it breaks in half. We live in Pennsylvania and it gets bitter cold here. The bird bath is beautiful and at night there is a gentle glow that lights up the night. We do take a damp cloth to clean out the bath before refilling it. Would greatly recommend!
