Camp Chef Natural Gas Conversion Kit, 10 ft Hose

The Camp Chef NGKIT Natural Gas Conversion Kit garners a mix of satisfaction and frustration from customers who have made the switch from propane to natural gas. Many users appreciate the good quality and effective functionality once the conversion is complete, successfully allowing them to operate their grills or smokers on natural gas. The kit, however, has been described somewhat disparagingly as merely an assembly of parts that primarily includes a hose and connector, leading several customers to feel that it lacks essential components or clarity in its description. Installation seems to be the crux of the complaints, with several users expressing that it involves more effort than the promotion suggests. Particularly, drilling out the orifices is a common requirement for achieving optimal performance, and this task can be a daunting Prospect for those unfamiliar with such DIY approaches. One customer even noted the significant decrease in BTU output when switching to natural gas, leading to additional concerns about whether they would need to purchase new valve assemblies for further adaptations. Despite these challenges, some customers did note that the overall conversion process, once understood, enabled their stoves to function well on natural gas. Many appreciated the comprehensive instructions provided by Camp Chef as a guiding resource, although the experience appears to hinge on the user's willingness to invest time and possibly additional funds for tools or fittings not included in the initial kit. In conclusion, while the Camp Chef NGKIT has facilitated natural gas conversions successfully for some, potential buyers should be prepared for a hands-on installation process that may require extra tools and modifications. **
