AURAY Mounts SSMBC10 Editorial Review
The Auray SSM-BC10 Microphone Suspension Shockmount has received mixed reception from customers. While some praise its sturdiness and ability to securely hold heavy microphones such as the ElectroVoice RE20 and Heil PR40, others have experienced issues with its durability, particularly with tension bands and welding failures. Many customers appreciate its heavy-duty build and effectiveness in shock isolation, especially when used with dynamic microphones. However, some users have found that the tension bands are not adequate, leading to the microphone contacting the external cage when adjusting its position. Overall, the shockmount is deemed suitable for its intended purpose by many customers, offering good value for the price. However, concerns over durability and tension band strength have been raised by some users.
