    Answer: Typically, the larger the diffuser, the more the light from the flash will be spread over a greater angle, giving you a softer, less intense light. The two smaller diffusers (6x5 and 9x7) can be used directly mounted to a flash on the hot shoe of your camera, while the 13x8 is best used on a flash mounted off-camera.
  • Question: Which size do you recommend to shoot outside?

    Answer: It depends on the subject being shot. For a cathedral, you may need more than a camera flash. For a horse, use the largest size. For a human face, use either of the smaller two. For a plate of fruits, use the smallest one. The smaller the diffuser, the more narrow the light cast but brighter. The larger the diffuser, the larger the angle of light cast but dimmer.
  • Question: Which size will fit a godox v860ii TTL flash?

    Answer: While I can't guarantee it will fit the godox specifically, its design makes it highly adaptable and able to fit a large variety of flash units. It should accommodate any flash unit with a rectangular shape.
  • Question: When using close-up (macro) lenses, will this softbox reduce/eliminate specular reflections?

    Answer: Sorry, I don't have enough experience using it with macro lenses to comment. However, it's easy to add extra diffusion if needed. The softbox is a very easy accessory to use and modify if necessary.
  • Question: What size should I order for universal photography?

    Answer: The 6x5 size works well in almost every situation, from small groups of people to close-up photography with a macro lens or extension tubes. The only time you may need a larger version is for full-length portraits, but the 6x5 works well enough in most cases.

    Answer: Yes.

    Answer: The max opening when stretched is 3-1/2 x 2-3/4, and it has an elastic band that goes around the light and velcro's to hold tight.

    Answer: The diffuser is only a diffuser. The flash has to be on for it to work. It can be used with the flash off-camera as long as it has a trigger to make it go off.
