If you're a fan of Jimmy Buffett, then the Songs from a Sailor songbook is definitely worth checking out. With a collection of 146 selected favorites, this hardcover book truly is a gem for any Parrothead who likes to play guitar. The book includes a well-written forward by Jimmy along with a bio, which adds to the insight and authenticity of the songbook. The combination of chords and melody with signature licks in tab provides a comfortable and dynamic presentation when playing the guitar. However, although there are only a few errors, some of the songs - such as "Lone Palm" and "12 Volt Man" - have some discrepancies (alternate tunings, the capo is in a crazy spot, etc.) that require fixing in a future edition. Despite these few hiccups, this book is a wonderful songbook that encompasses all of Buffett's greatest hits, both old and new. "Songs from a Sailor" offers some of the top transcriptions you will find, including vocal harmonies and key instrumental solos included for that ultimate music experience.
