Answer: No, unlike normal two-part coatings, DiamondFinish Clear does not require a hardener. -

What is the maximum temperature DiamondFinish Clear can withstand?
Answer: DiamondFinish Clear can withstand temperatures up to 300° Fahrenheit, making it great for high temperature automotive applications. -

Is a rotisserie required when top coating saltwater fishing plugs?

Does this protect the colors underneath from fading in the sun? One guy says "no" but he seemed insane. Anyone else have any info?
Answer: yes it does protect the color underneath, but it can also distort the color. It will also let the color bleed through. We have discovered that it depends on the type of paint that is used under the Diamond. -

Has anyone or Can this product be used over shellac??
Answer: Maybe, a test application is called for. Shellac used to come from beetles, now it could be a variety of synthetics. -

Can this be applied to painted drywall beneath shower door?
Answer: y -

Can I use this on my fiberglass kayak?
Answer: I wouldn’t. You need something that flexes for a kayak. I would suggest using a 2 part epoxy. West System 105 is what most cedar strip canoe guys use. I would look into that or Raka epoxy. Make sure to get a non blemishing epoxy. Something with a UV inhibitor. -

Answer: yes works great on wood -

Can this be used to protect Powder Coated Aluminum?
Answer: Not sure you would need to put anything over a part that is powder coated. Powder coating is better at protecting parts that just paint alone but I have no idea how it would work over powder coating. -
Question:
Is this ready to spray out the can?
Answer: When spraying, 10%-15% is normally adequate. DiamondFinish Clear can be thinned up to 30%. Use KBS #1 Thinner or Xylene ONLY. When spraying: Spray pressure of 35-45 psi(250-330 kpa) for siphon/pot guns and 25-35psi (170-250 kpa) for gravity/top container guns. As a general rule of thumb, we recommend a 1.4-1.5 nozzle.
