The table clamp is sturdy and the screw moves smoothly. While there is a LOT of forward-backward play in the jaw until it's tightened, it is still an excellent addition to any workbench for holding small circuit boards, jewelry, and other fine-control projects. Overall, it is great for small craft work and is not as fragile as expected.
