The Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro 80 Limited Edition Black headphones are a great choice for those looking for professional and stylish headphones that are fully functional and comfortable. The headphones have a flat response which is very accurate for adjusting tones that will be used live. They boast extremely detailed resolution and very transparent sound. The ear cups and top band make these the most comfortable headphones for long listening sessions. The plastic material is durable, and the cable is a nice rubbery feeling material. However, the cable is not detachable. The headphones also have some THUMP but the soundstage isn't super large, which is expected as they're closed-back headphones. The 80 ohm version is made for use with an amp or soundboard to increase the bass. If you're listening directly from a MacBook without a DAC, 80 ohms will be quiet with other peripherals. The only difference between the limited edition black 80 ohm and the normal gray 80 ohm is the ear pads color. The black velour ear cups feel stiffer than the gray version, but it doesn't affect the sound quality. The noise cancellation is pretty good, but they're not perfect for sound leakage. The headphones are excellent for brighter headphones with some healthy OOMPH.
