The VOSTOK Komandirskie VDV Airborne Troops Commander Russian Military Mechanical Wrist Watch is a beautifully crafted Soviet Era watch that could be seen as a replica of Soviet History. While it doesn't have a hack or prestige elements, it is perfect as a beater watch and for outdoor activities. The textured chrome bezel and reflective bold Arabic numerals are appealing, while the Cyrillic script adds a cool touch. The down-curving lugs hug the wrist, making it very comfortable to wear. Despite the band being cheaply made, the watch itself is solidly built and keeps excellent time. One may want to replace the band with a NATO strap. The watch may spark conversations and is an affordable alternative for those seeking vintage pieces.
