However, some customers experienced manufacturing tolerances issues, resulting in a soft image, and some had problems with sharpness and lackluster color rendition. On the other hand, some customers were surprised by the quality of the lens, finding it very sharp and easy to focus, and thought it was a no-brainer for the money. The lens handles well and has a good feel, with acceptable image quality, but it is not a pro-grade lens. The lens hood is thin and not useful, and the lens is not coated, so flare and fringing can be problematic. Overall, it is a good budget option or a fun option for a walk-around lens.
