Each note has its name (A, B, C >>> G) on top of the note, which makes it easy for young children to find correspondence between the notes and the keyboard when combined with piano note stickers. However, some customers were disappointed as they did not receive the free audio with the piano book or found the book too young for their older children. The book does not include any exercises to form technique and the sheet music reading, so parents may need to supplement lessons with exercises. Some customers also found typos in note labeling, and the paperback binding doesn’t like to lay flat. Overall, the Little Pianist is a fine children's beginners book for songs.
