Answer: I have no complaints about the quality. I bought 10 beans (as a Christmas gift) to make vanilla and I am happy to say it is working beautifully. -

Answer: I used one whole package for 750ml of vodka. I used 12 4 oz glass bottles. So far they are looking good and smelling even better. Going to make some cute Christmas gifts. -

Answer: They don't appear to be split and scraped, but they are scrawny and unimpressive. -

Answer: You would have to hydrate them they are small and dry. But if you add 80 proof vodka and pressure cook in a 16 oz canning jar they make terrific extract 2 cups vodka 4 beans cut in half -

Why would the vanilla beans already have splits in them? Part of the reason I want them is for the caviar.
Answer: If you want the caviar you need Grade A or Prime beans. Grade B beans are generally used for extract purposes and they dont exclude beans with splits in them bc they make the extract stronger. -

How many ounces am I getting with 25 beans? I prefer to shop by weight.
Answer: As stated on another reply, the 25 beans in this package weighed 1 oz. That is enough to make 1 cup (8oz) of extract.
