Trident Reef Hook with 50" Line and Clip

**** The reef hook and clip tool has garnered a mixture of support and criticism from divers in various conditions. Most reviewers commend its functionality, noting that it performs as intended when used in strong current conditions, such as in the Gulf Stream or while diving in regions like Komodo and Bali. Users appreciate the sturdy Construction of the hook itself, which features a one-piece stainless steel rod with a well-finished eyelet, a stark contrast to the shoddy welds of competing products found in local dive shops. Despite the overall positive feedback, there are some caveats to Consider. The most significant concern appears to be the thin nylon line attached to the hook, which many users found to be of low quality. Some opted to replace it with sturdier marine line to ensure reliability underwater. Additionally, while the hook design is generally praised, one user reported that it bent after just two uses, raising concerns about its durability under heavy use for larger individuals. Divers also noted that the tether length may be longer than necessary for some setups, although adjustments can easily be made by wrapping the line. Overall, while the reef hook excels in certain aspects such as Construction and practicality, attention to the attached line and potential strength issues should be Considered by Prospective buyers. **
