Answer: Most models of Fitbit, including the Alta, have bands that are changeable. The band that comes with the Alta is plastic. Shop for 'Fitbit Alta' and make sure that you read the description before you purchase. Online, the Alta usually sells for over $100. -

Answer: No, it’s only for the Alta. The Luxe has a completely different attachment. -

Is there any chance this band can be adjusted to fit a 5 inch wrist?
Answer: My wrist is right at 6.5' so you would need to remove an additional 1.5' of the links. That looks like about five links more than my band. You CAN REMOVE five more links because nearly every link has the removal pin. But, while you can remove the links, I am concerned about wear-ability. Because of the contour of the Alta itself, once you remove five more links, the opening will be wide and flat, and I think that might make uncomfortable (this may be why the item information says adjustability is from '5.9 – 8.46 inches'). As much as I love this band, I would recommend a band with a more petite design, especially if you are uncomfortable purchasing and removing the links to test whether or not you can make it work.
