This Right Angle Stereo TRS Solder-On 14 Inch 6.3mm 90 Degree Stereo Male Jack Plug Connector has received mixed reviews. Some buyers have received a cheaper chrome connector instead of the gold plated plug shown in the picture. The connector needs to be soldered, which some buyers found difficult. The design is adequate but not top quality; the conductors are separated by paper strips unlike some better brands which use plastic separators. The body of the plug doesn't have threads which go all the way to the barrel, so screwing on the cover is not as solid as some other brands. However, despite some criticisms, the plug worked well for some buyers, who found it easy to use and better than the original plug. An ohm tester can be used to ensure that the wires were not crossed during solder.
