Answer: Pretty sure it's China! I gave it to my dad for Christmas for his outdoor fire pit. He loves it. Lightweight and portable. Unfortunately, not made in the good ol' USA but the price was right at Christmas. -

Answer: I suppose that depends on your logs and your fire place... And not at all with your log holding device... -

Answer: It is a black finish, really sturdy item! -

What is the max weight it can hold?
Answer: Not sure on the weight limit. I regularly fill it up past the top of each side with no issues at all. If you can make a stable stack, this log holder should handle it.
