The Fender Pure Vintage '56 pickups offer a great vintage sound for a reasonable price. The Alnico 3 magnets and flatter pole pieces work well with a flat-ish neck radius. They also solve the issue of the G string resonating when adjusted to the recommended height which was present with other Fender pickups. They offer a tone really close to original vintage Fender pickups.
