Answer: I had ours on a concrete patio, and laid out a roll of padded Laminate floor underlayment to make it soft and cushiony. So us adults could use it too! :-) it was perfect to cool off. -

Answer: No, it's not a solar heat cover. Don't waste your money on this item. It doesn't fit and is very thin.
