Answer: It doesn't work on mine. I had to use an old Windows computer. -

Answer: I used it to transfer old VHS films to MOV files on my Mac. There is software provided for Windows. However, I haven't personally used it on a console, but considering the company knows what they are doing, it should work. Confirm with the provided documentation. -

Answer: I experienced the same issue. Double-check all connections, especially if using a SCART connector. After rechecking the connections, it worked fine for me. -

Can I capture video from the tapes in my Samsung digital cam VP-D230?
Answer: The red, white, and yellow leads of the capture card can be plugged into older camcorders with external female RCA sockets. For the Samsung camcorder, you may need a 3.5mm AV lead with female connectors to be able to plug in the capture card's leads. I successfully copied my Video 8 tapes, but the video displayed in black and white on my PC. However, the saved video files played back in color. -

Does this work with Xbox One?
Answer: I haven't personally tried it, but as long as your Xbox has the AV yellow, red, white connections or an adapter, it should work for capturing to a laptop.
