It comes with a reserve ink supply system that alerts you when you're running low on ink, and you can continue printing until you get a replacement ink cartridge. When you use genuine Canon inks and Canon photo paper, your photos should be able to last for decades or more if properly cared for. The maximum print size is 17"x22", and it supports both Windows and Mac. The printer cannot be left on for 24 hours, and there is no paper roll attachment available. It requires all of its ink cartridges to be installed and for each one to have at least some ink within it for proper operation. However, the printer is expensive, and both the printer and ink cartridges cost a lot. The cleaning cycle takes up to an hour and consumes a lot of ink, and the maintenance cartridge empties pretty fast. The printer shuts itself down if it stands idle. The installation process can be troublesome, and some users have experienced errors and hardware failures.
