The CNCTOPBAOS CNC 3018 Pro 3 Axis DIY Mini CNC Router Kit is a great unit for beginners to learn on and comes at an affordable price. The CNC is precise and capable of cutting materials like PVC, PCB, Acrylic, Plastic and Wood. It comes with a DC 24V power supply but no z probe cables or z probe. It doesn't have software but the user can download cnc 3018 pro software and GRBL software. According to one reviewer, it is small but not a toy and easy to put together in about 45 minutes. They recommend lubricating it correctly. One user bought it to engrave letters on plexiglass but was disappointed with the linear bearings that had so much play that it couldn't even engrave pine, and no part of the machine ended up being serviceable in its factory configuration. Another user who works in the aerospace industry and is a machinist complained that the stepper motors are useless and have enough torque to spin the bent threaded rod all the way across the stroke. However, most reviewers seem to recommend the product, sharing that they use it for milling or engraving and even bought a laser to go with it.
