Customer Questions & Answers

  • Question: What is the RATSACK Bundle and what are its key features?

Answer: The RATSACK Bundle is an ultralight rodent-proof dry bag designed specifically for backpacking and camping. Key features include robust materials that resist chewing from rodents and a waterproof design that keeps your food supplies safe from moisture. Additionally, the included Coghlans bag offers odor-proof protection, ensuring that food scents don't attract unwanted animals. This bundle is ideal for outdoor enthusiasts looking to securely store food while minimizing pack weight.
  • Question: How does the RATSACK Bundle protect food from bears and rodents?

Answer: The RATSACK Bundle employs high-strength materials that are specifically designed to resist chewing and tearing, making it effective against both bears and rodents. The combination of the durable dry bag and the Coghlans odor-proof bag significantly reduces the chances of attracting wildlife to your food supplies. For instance, while camping in bear-heavy regions, this bundle acts as an essential barrier, allowing you to enjoy your trip without worrying about wildlife encounters.
  • Question: Can the RATSACK Bundle hold all types of food?

Answer: Yes, the RATSACK Bundle is suitable for a variety of food items, including freeze-dried meals, snacks, and even cooking essentials. The spacious design allows you to easily store multiple items, ensuring you have enough nutrition for your outdoor adventures. For example, if you're planning a multi-day backpacking trip, the RATSACK can store your meals securely while keeping them accessible during your journey.
  • Question: Is the RATSACK Bundle truly waterproof?

Answer: Absolutely! The RATSACK Bundle features a fully waterproof construction designed to keep your food dry even in wet conditions. This is particularly important during unexpected rain or when storing food near water sources. Whether you are hiking through drizzle or camping near a lake, the waterproof feature ensures that your food stays safe and consumable, offering peace of mind during your travels.
  • Question: What are some practical uses for the RATSACK Bundle?

Answer: The RATSACK Bundle is not only perfect for camping but can also be used for backpacking, hiking, and outdoor festivals. Its ultralight design makes it easy to carry while still providing excellent food storage. Imagine heading out for a long hike; you can pack your meals and snacks in the RATSACK, knowing that they won't attract wildlife and will remain dry if it rains. Its versatility makes it an essential part of any outdoor gear kit.
  • Question: How do I clean and maintain the RATSACK Bundle?

Answer: Maintaining the RATSACK Bundle is simple. After your adventures, rinse it out with mild soap and warm water, then air dry it thoroughly before storing. This prevents odors and bacteria buildup, ensuring it remains in perfect condition for future use. For example, after a camping trip, cleaning the bag will prolong its life and functionality, keeping it ready for your next adventure.
  • Question: What is the weight capacity of the RATSACK Bundle?

Answer: The RATSACK Bundle can typically hold a significant amount of weight, accommodating a few days’ worth of food for one or two users. Its ultralight design ensures that you're not adding unnecessary bulk to your pack, while still having the capacity needed for your food supplies. This makes it an excellent choice for minimalist backpackers who wish to travel light without compromising on their meal provisions.
  • Question: Is the RATSACK Bundle suitable for long-term food storage?

Answer: The RATSACK Bundle is designed primarily for short- to medium-term storage during outdoor activities, rather than for long-term food preservation. For camping or backpacking, it effectively keeps food fresh and protected from pests. However, for long-term storage at home, it's recommended to use more specialized containers. When on a trip, this bundle ensures your food remains unspoiled and safe during your outdoor escape.
  • Question: Does the RATSACK Bundle come in different sizes?

Answer: The RATSACK Bundle is available in various sizes to cater to different needs, allowing you to choose one that best fits your backpacking or camping plans.
